Jewellery has the power to change your mood….
I had a thought …. Ive been up and down with my positive vibes and trying to stay focused in this crazy mixed up corona world. And do you know what, putting on your comfies because there is nothing else to do apart from clean and cook ,eat and walk doesn’t do anything for that collected, assertive mood does it that were all trying to achieve. Its like that saying you are what you eat.
Ive been reading Dawn o Porters book from last year, – life in pieces – about her lockdown life – and she says always puts on her face and something vintage out of her wardrobe , because it makes her feel good and that she wants her boys to see her feeling happy and looking brilliant. Its memories too not just the now… she wants to be remembered as stylish and cool. Like in time when were all not here anymore ( probably because of corona ha ) she wants her family to have that connection with an item of clothing or a fragrance or a piece of jewellery .. because memories are forever aren they. Dont get me wrong she prob has her moments like we all do , but Its stuck with me .. I must admit , I have lost my way with clothes and makeup .I live in my dog walking attire ! Which is great for just that – getting wet in the rain and splashing in muddy puddles with Dessie my little girl, but its prob not that good for the mind. You can just drift into a relaxed too easy to put leggings and a sweat top on and that’s it , bobble hat and off you pop ….
I don’t want that ! That’s not me ! Give me back a sense of dressing please !
So that’s where i’m at… from now on after ive been out with Casp my jack russell, i’m definitely going to be putting my nice clothes on and my wonderful jewellery. I actually put all my favorite pieces of SW on yesterday and instantly I felt so much better and I bloody looked better too !
Its wonderful how things can make you feel and I think we all need a little bit of something don’t we to cheer us up or to keep our spirits alive ( not just the gin ones )
WHAT is your go to piece of SW jewellery …. do you wear one thing at a time or do you layer up?
I love nothing more that hoops… hoops are my life ha …. I have 3 holes in each ear and one is deffo soley for a hoop ha ! I do like to mix and match with the gemstone studs and the chunky stars too and I even mix up gold and silver.. why the bloody hell not… style them how you want!
